FRAS SYSTEM The FRAS system is the benchmark for measuring oxidative stress: ● Measurement of free radicals: d-ROMs FAST test ● Measurement of antioxidant potential: PAT test ● Measurement of antioxidant potential in saliva: SAT test ● Interpretation of results and diagnosis of oxidative stress: OB Manager. FRAS 5 is a complete portable laboratory for measuring the redox balance in blood and the antioxidant power in saliva. It consists of a centrifuge for extracting plasma from blood, a photometer for performing the tests, a touch screen display and a printer for returning the results on a receipt.

FRAS BRAVO SYSTEM FRAS Bravo is a dedicated photometer for monitoring oxidative stress. Small and handy, with an intuitive touchscreen, it allows rapid measurement of the redox balance. In less than 10 minutes, the redox balance in the blood can be determined using the d-ROMs FAST (prooxidant power) and PAT (antioxidant power). A single capillary blood sample, by means of acupuncture, is sufficient to perform both tests. FRAS BRAVO is also able to calculate the oxidative stress index (OSI) in real time.

The PAT test allows the antioxidant power of the blood to be determined. The PAT test is a photometric test that can be used in outpatient, research and pharmacy settings on a dedicated system (FRAS 5 or FRAS BRAVO) or in any laboratory equipped with a photometer. The test is performed on only 10 µl of heparinized plasma or serum in one minute. The results of the PAT test are expressed in U.Cor (1 U.Cor is equivalent to the signal developed by a 1.4 µmol/l ascorbic acid solution). The PAT Test can be performed alone or in combination with the d-ROMs FAST Test in the REDOX OB FAST kit.

The d-ROMs FAST Test allows the blood concentration of peroxides to be determined. The d-ROMs FAST Test is a photometric test that can be used in an outpatient setting, in a pharmacy on a dedicated system (FRAS5 or FRAS BRAVO) or in any laboratory equipped with a photometer. The test is performed on just 10 µl of heparinized plasma or serum in just 2.5 minutes. The results of the d-ROMs FAST Test are expressed in U.CARR (1 U.CARR is equivalent to the signal developed by a 0.08 mg/dl solution of hydrogen peroxide). The d-ROMs FAST Test can be performed alone or in combination with the PAT test in the REDOX OB FAST kit.
